Carlos mentions that PAR is not generalised, but can give an indicator of what the trends are on the ground. In you work, what checks to you have in place to ensure that you are not overstating the uniformity/the generalisability of your work? How do you help others see this too when you are presenting/discussing your work?

I try to make sure that I talk about the specificity ("in this case" etc); and remind people when we're in discussion that it's not general. I guess also i try to be careful when talking about other people's PAR to make sure I'm not also making the same kind of generalising errors.
Hegemonic research seems to push hard for things to be general, and i've really been having to unlearn that "need"
