As part of our digital programme for 2021 Fresh Voices we are delighted to have three guest speaker workshops to help you develop your practice of participatory research. During our 2021 digital programme we will be engaging with these workshops as a community and reflecting upon how they can guide our own research practice. WORKSHOP 1
What is PAR? - Dr Josephine Ocloo & Dr Clare Coultas
In this workshop Dr Josephine Ocloo and Dr Clare Coultas will be guiding us through an introduction to Participatory Action Research (PAR). This workshop is interactive so have a pen and paper to the ready! Get ready to consider the link between the political and the personal and what PAR might look like in your own research.

WORKSHOP 2
Feminist, Creative & Participatory Research - Amanda Ptolomey
In this workshop Amanda Ptolomey will be engaging us in a fascinating journey through facilitating feminist, creative and participatory research using a Feminist Ethics of Care. We are so excited to share this exploration which will get you challenging pre-conceived ideas of what research practice really is. This workshop includes activities for you to take part in so make sure you have a pen and paper ready!

WORKSHOP 3
PAR with undocumented students - Dr Cinthya Salazar
In this workshop Dr Cinthya Salazar guides us through how she applied participatory action research (PAR) through her dissertation working with undocumented college students in the USA. This workshop builds on the rest of our workshop and talk series to start asking some of the difficult questions about using PAR methods.
