Hello! Welcome to Week 5 at Fresh Voices! This week, we'll be reflecting on the McPin Advisory group talk (given 2020) and the Windrush Strikes Back PAR project (available online). As usual, we'll use these threads to discuss some of the themes that arise from these two projects.
Thinking about your own participatory work (or work you have been a participant in) – what might the different motivations be for individuals to choose to engage in your research? Do you think their experience of involvement fulfils this range of motivations or are some fulfilled more than others?
Have you ever had to select when identifying participants or collaborators for participatory work? How have you done about doing this and how might you do this in the future?
It's been really great to have these discussions! We'll be closing these threads as we're wrapping up the moderation, but please feel free to continue the discussion over on other platforms!
